Taking a sustainable approach and believing less is more, Project Forty Nine’s deep connection to the land allows its winemaking to be rooted in instinct, allowing the natural balance and biodiversity of the land, both gently-changing over time, to speak for itself.
THE 2016 VINTAGE
Balanced fruit drawn exclusively from the same vineyard site, simple winemaking technique and craft play a large role in the creation of a genuinely elegant wine style.
Harmoniously arranged aromas of citrus peels are sweetened a little by the scents of beeswax and a light dry-brush of well managed oak notes; mellow, supple and lightly structured.
Prodigiously articulate on the palate, roundly dry with balance, texture and aroma rather than acidity alone.
Dried wild flowers complete the elaborately crafted, mouth-filling wine.
